Drift Alternatives in 2026: What to Use Now That Drift Is Being Sunset
Salesloft is retiring Drift and referring customers to 1mind. Here is what to replace, the main alternatives and how they charge, and a checklist for moving off Drift safely.
Drift is being retired. On 5 March 2026, Clari + Salesloft announced the gradual sunset of Drift's conversational marketing product and named 1mind its exclusive AI successor; existing Drift customers are being referred there. Drift.com now redirects to a Salesloft page that says it has "transitioned from Drift to 1mind", with no plan to buy and no public end date.
If Drift still runs on your website, now is the time to plan the move. This guide covers what to replace, the main alternatives and how they charge, and a migration checklist. Prices come from each vendor's pricing page as of 23 October 2026.
What happened to Drift
- 2024: Salesloft acquired Drift and sold it as part of its revenue platform.
- August 2025: attackers used stolen Drift OAuth tokens to pull data from connected Salesforce instances between 8 and 18 August. Salesloft revoked all Drift tokens on 20 August, and Salesforce removed Drift from its AppExchange. Google's threat intelligence team advised treating every Drift-connected token as compromised.
- September 2025: Salesloft took Drift offline while it investigated, saying the chatbot on customer websites would not be available.
- March 2026: the sunset announcement and the referral of Drift customers to 1mind.
Drift's last public pricing put its Premium plan at about $2,500 a month, with Advanced and Enterprise on custom quotes. Those figures are historical; there is no Drift plan to buy today.
What you need to replace
Drift did several jobs at once. List the ones you actually use before you compare tools:
- Website chat and playbooks that greet visitors on key pages.
- Qualification: asking about company, role, need and timing.
- Routing and meetings: sending target accounts to the right rep and booking a call.
- Account targeting: treating visitors from named accounts differently.
- CRM sync with Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Email capture and follow-up.
The alternatives
| Tool | Built for | How it charges | Starting price (Oct 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1mind | Enterprise AI sales agents; Salesloft's named Drift successor | Annual contract | Not public; custom quote |
| Qualified (Piper AI SDR) | B2B pipeline teams on Salesforce | Tiers sized by website sessions and email contacts | Not public; "contact us" |
| HubSpot (Customer Agent) | Teams whose CRM is HubSpot | Per seat, plus $0.50 per AI resolution; the agent needs a Pro or Enterprise seat | Free live chat with HubSpot branding; paid seats from $7 a month |
| Intercom (Fin) | Support first; sales qualification possible | Per seat, plus $0.99 per Fin outcome | Seats from $29 list ($19 with a new-customer offer) |
| LiveChat | Chat for sales and support teams | Per user, plus AI resolutions | From $19 per user a month, billed annually |
| Tidio | Small businesses and online stores | Conversations, plus Lyro AI conversations | Free plan; Starter $29 a month |
| Sonic Prospect | AI sales agent on website, WhatsApp and Instagram | Per qualified prospect | First 5 free, then $5.99 each through #1,000, then $9.99 |
1mind The default path for Drift customers, because Salesloft refers them there. 1mind sells AI sales agents to enterprise teams on annual contracts and does not publish prices. Worth a conversation if you were on a large Drift contract and want the closest continuity.
Qualified (Piper) The most common replacement for Drift in B2B. Its AI SDR, Piper, qualifies visitors, uses Salesforce account data and routes target accounts to their owner. Pricing is not public and is sized by website sessions, so expect an enterprise budget and an annual commitment.
HubSpot If HubSpot is your CRM, its chat keeps conversations, contacts and deals in one place. The AI Customer Agent is built mainly for support, but HubSpot lets a qualified lead count as a resolution. You pay for seats plus $0.50 per resolution.
Intercom (Fin) A strong messaging platform whose AI agent, Fin, is designed to resolve support questions. Teams use it for sales too, but you pay per outcome on top of seats, so model what a resolved conversation is worth to you. See our comparison of sales chatbots versus Intercom.
LiveChat and Tidio Self-serve chat for smaller teams. LiveChat charges per user; Tidio meters conversations and AI conversations separately. Both are quick to set up; neither is built around account-based routing. We compare Tidio in detail in Tidio alternatives for sales.
Sonic Prospect An AI sales agent for your website, WhatsApp and Instagram. It works out what each visitor needs, answers the questions that block a purchase, handles objections and moves qualified people to a next step, and it treats the same person across channels as one prospect. You pay only when a visitor qualifies as a real prospect: the first 5 are free, then $5.99 each through the first 1,000, then $9.99. Standard conversations, up to 20 answers per visitor a day, are not billed. Signup is self-serve with a card.
Migration checklist
- Revoke old Drift connections. Disconnect Drift from Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack and any other tool, and rotate any credentials it could reach.
- Remove the Drift script from every page and tag manager container, so no visitor sees a broken widget.
- Export what you need: conversation history, playbook copy and the questions buyers ask most.
- Write down your routing rules (which accounts go to which rep) and recreate them in the new tool.
- Pick a pricing model on purpose. Seats, sessions, resolutions or qualified prospects lead to very different bills; our AI sales agent pricing guide shows the calculation.
- Test with real questions. Ask five questions from your sales inbox and judge the answers before you switch traffic.
- Cover the channels your buyers use. If buyers reach you on WhatsApp or Instagram, a website-only tool will miss them.
Next step
If you want an AI sales agent you pay for only when a visitor qualifies, across website, WhatsApp and Instagram, start with Sonic Prospect. The first 5 qualified prospects are free.

Frequently asked questions
Is Drift shutting down?
Yes, gradually. On 5 March 2026 Clari + Salesloft announced the gradual sunset of Drift and named 1mind its exclusive AI successor. Drift.com now redirects to a Salesloft page about the move to 1mind, and there is no Drift plan to buy. Salesloft has not published an end date.
What is the best Drift alternative?
It depends on the job. Large Drift customers are referred to 1mind. Enterprise B2B teams on Salesforce often move to Qualified. HubSpot-first teams can use HubSpot chat. Smaller teams use LiveChat or Tidio. If you want to pay only per qualified prospect across website, WhatsApp and Instagram, look at Sonic Prospect.
What should I do with Drift integrations after the 2025 breach?
Disconnect Drift from Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack and other tools, and rotate any credentials it could reach. Google advised treating every Drift-connected token as compromised after attackers used stolen Drift OAuth tokens in August 2025. Then remove the Drift script from your site.
